Figurative Typography

“It's a dangerous business...going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
-JRR Tolkien
Project Guidelines:
Select an author, poet, or singer/songwriter of your choice and make a portrait on the     computer using typographic characters only. Use letterforms to illustrate your author's portrait, thinking about how your design reflects the style of poetry or prose of your author. Think about identity and study the face of your author and his other characteristics. Examine the forms of typographic elements closely to determine what will represent the author in a graphic and accurate way.
Along with the illustration, select a quotation from the author's work. Incorporate the quotation into your portrait.
